Our current weather situation may not impress the rest of the country, but this is cold for springtime in the valley....and it isn't doing the recently transplanted tomatoes much good.
So we have set up an improvised greenhouse on the dining room table for the overflow from the downstairs shelf. The plants will be spending the next couple of nights here....hopefully they can go out and play in the sun tomorrow.
They don't seem to mind it so far:)

I'm tellin' ya, that snow is looow.
Next weekend it's supposed to be in the 80s again. All the plants are confused!
So THAT'S what tomatoes are supposed to look like!!!
Mine are about four inches. I have left them outside for a month, and it's slow growing, but I haven't lost any yet.
Now that I have a fence, I am planting 36 basil plants tomorrow! They have been outside, too.
I am so jealous of your tomatoes. Seriously.
Kris.....judicious photography stikes again!
Actually, the first ones transplanted are doing really well, but the second set look kind of sickly. Not sure if it was the different potting soil or just that they were kept in the cells longer, but I'm anxious to see if they 'catch up' to the healthier specimens.
ps. I will have extras.....let me know if you want any.
