Zucchini

It happens every year. First the lady bugs fight off the aphids and then just when the plants seem to be recovering, the leaves start growing out....for lack of a more descriptive term....skinnier. The plants look anemic.

And then of course there's this...

The funny thing is, despite all the problems they've had the plants are still slowly producing veggies. And with the total for these 12 plants at 40lbs. I think we're doing ok :)

Congratulations!
Zucchini can be overwhelming.

A couple of my plants look similar, but they're not producing as well as yours! (That's okay, my counter's still covered in zucchini. ;)

Thanks Gals! I did have to amend my total (and I'm usually good at math) from 45 to 40 lbs. but we have had plenty for our use and some to give away. Unfortunately, I usually grate the 'end of the summer' zucchini for using in breads during the winter. Hopefully the second crop we put in at our house will help us there :)
